Homeowner Cited For Allowing Alcohol
WEST LINN, Ore. -- Three teenagers could face harassment charges over a prom prank in West Linn.
Police say teens were drinking heavily at West Linn post-prom party when one girl passed out.
Her friends allegedly wrote and drew obscenities on her body with permanent markers, leading her parents and police to fear that she'd been sexually assaulted.
'Literally, someone drew a penis on the side of her face. She had marker on her chest, on her legs, everywhere. They just coated this girl with green marker, wrote all sorts of stuff,' Sgt. Neil Hennelly told KOIN 6 News.
Investigators determined that no sex crime occurred, but they are concerned about the teenage drinking.
Homeowner Michael Short, who was home during the party, was cited for allowing minors to consume alcohol on his property. "

local6.com - Education - Girls Suspended For Putting Urinal Water In Team's Water: "ELDERSBURG, Md. -- Officials at Liberty High School in Eldersburg, Md., have uncovered another discipline problem involving student athletes.
Two members of the girls' junior varsity lacrosse team were caught pulling a prank on their teammates. School officials said the two girls added water from a urinal in a boy's restroom to the team's water jugs.
They have been kicked off the team for the season and suspended from school for three days.
The Carroll County Health Department has determined the other players were not in danger of getting sick from drinking the tainted water.
Some members of a boys' lacrosse team at Liberty and members of a boys' team at South Carroll were recently disciplined for an on-field brawl during a game last month.

Yahoo! News - Policeman arrested driving in fishnet tights: "Tue May 11, 5:43 AM ET
PARIS (Reuters) - A French policeman faces trial in a police court for driving under the influence after he was stopped at the wheel of his car drunk and wearing only a pair of fishnet tights, a prosecutor says.
The man admitted he was a part-time prostitute after fellow police chased him through the Bois de Boulogne, a wooded area on the outskirts of Paris reputed as a nighttime hangout of transsexual prostitutes, in the early hours of Thursday.
The policeman said he needed the extra income. If convicted, he could lose his driver's licence and be fined.
Prosecutors said on Friday there was not enough evidence to try him for passive soliciting, which is punishable by prison in France. "

CONYERS, Ga. - A man who has been struggling with a drug problem has been ordered by a judge to buy a coffin and keep it in his home.
Chief Superior Court Judge Sidney Nation sentenced Brenton Jay Raffensperger, 24, to serve only the first six months of a seven-year sentence on a cocaine possession charge. But he must keep the coffin in his home during the duration of the sentence.
'Some people may think this is silly, but I don't,' Nation told Raffensperger. 'I want you to go to a funeral home and buy a casket, put it in your home and see it every day as a reminder of the deadly consequences of your choices. I want you to be reminded every day that if you don't change your ways you are a dead man.'
Raffensperger also received a concurrent sentence on a DUI charge.
Nation added the coffin requirement as a condition after attorneys worked out a plea bargain.
Nation has used unusual measures in the past in an effort to emphasize to offenders the need to get off drugs. One man was told to bury his crack pipe in a grave size hole. Another man was required to keep a car he destroyed while driving under the influence in his front yard.

Yahoo! News - Puppy Dials Ambulance, Crew Responds: "Mon May 10, 9:44 AM ET
OSLO, Norway - An emergency services switchboard couldn't understand a word the caller was saying, so they sent a crew to investigate.
There was nothing wrong with Raia, apart from being a puppy. Barking into the phone was her way of communicating, the state radio network NRK reported Monday.
Lars Letnes, of the Nord-Troendelag police district, said a call came through to the 113 medical emergency number at about 1 a.m. Sunday. The switchboard operators tried to talk to the caller, but heard only a gruff, barking sound.
'They were afraid someone needed help and was trying to say so they asked for assistance from the police,' he told NRK.
The police went to the house, rang the doorbell and woke up 24-year-old Aleksander Elden, whose family owns the four-month-old Norwegian Elkhound.
'It could only have been her that called. She was the only one there,' Elden told The Associated Press by telephone, adding he found the puppy lying on the floor next to the phone.
The police took the confusion with a sense of humor.
'In our log, it says the son in the house couldn't see that the dog was in any pain and concluded that she had probably dialed the wrong number,' said Letnes. "

Yahoo! News - Drunken Driver Loses Car, Breaks Booze Record: "Tue May 11,10:53 AM ET
BERLIN (Reuters) - Losing his license did not stop a drunk German driver from jumping back into his car a day later to buy more of his favorite tipple -- only to be nabbed a second time by police who this time seized the car as well.
Following a tip-off, police had stopped the 51-year-old on Monday, when a breath test showed a blood alcohol level more than 10 times over the legal limit.
'The officers could not remember ever having recorded such a high level,' said a police spokesman in Hagen, western Germany. The man's license was taken away.
The next morning, the man again bought sparkling wine and drove home. Police again stopped him and recorded an even higher alcohol level -- almost double the amount considered life-threatening to most people.
'This time, the officers confiscated his car too,' the spokesman said. The man will be charged."
