The Enquirer - Driver denies threatening cop: "WEST PRICE HILL - A West Price Hill woman today denied threatening a police officer while getting a traffic ticket Saturday night. A Cincinnati police officer pulled over Teresa Walker, 44, at 11:52 p.m. in the 1000 block of Rutledge. While the officer was writing the ticket, Walker called the police department to complain that the officer was taking too long, police said. She allegedly threatened to shoot the officer if he didn't write the ticket faster, according to Cincinnati police. She was charged with aggravated menacing and booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center. Terrence McNamara, the attorney for Walker, said today in court that Walker insists her car was pulled over because she is married to a black man and police were using racial profiling. Walker, an Arby's manager, doesn't remember saying she would kill Police Officer Jeff Bley, the lawyer added, but does remember saying she'll sue him. Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Lisa Allen set her bond at $10,000."

Swiss accidentally invade Liechtenstein - Yahoo! News: "Fri Mar 2, 10:01 PM ET
ZURICH, Switzerland - What began as a routine training exercise almost ended in an embarrassing diplomatic incident after a company of Swiss soldiers got lost at night and marched into neighboring Liechtenstein.
According to Swiss daily Blick, the 170 infantry soldiers wandered just over a mile across an unmarked border into the tiny principality early Thursday before realizing their mistake and turning back.
A spokesman for the Swiss army confirmed the story but said that there were unlikely to be any serious repercussions for the mistaken invasion.
'We've spoken to the authorities in Liechtenstein and it's not a problem,' Daniel Reist told The Associated Press.
Officials in Liechtenstein also played down the incident.
Interior ministry spokesman Markus Amman said nobody in Liechtenstein had even noticed the soldiers, who were carrying assault rifles but no ammunition. 'It's not like they stormed over here with attack helicopters or something,' he said.
Liechtenstein, which has about 34,000 inhabitants and is slightly smaller than Washington DC, doesn't have an army."

Man accused of mailing ex a kitten head - Yahoo! News: "Fri Mar 2, 10:01 PM ET

PITTSBURGH - A man accused of mailing the severed head of a kitten to his ex-girlfriend was ordered to stand trial on stalking and animal-cruelty charges.
Benjamin Gregory, 30, of Pittsburgh, allegedly sent the gift-wrapped package in January because he was unhappy that the relationship had ended, police said. His ex-girlfriend is an attorney who volunteers at animal shelters.
The woman had filed for a protection-from-abuse order against Gregory. He was jailed, but she said he kept calling her until she asked jail officials to block his calls. When he was released in December, she said, he started calling again.
On Jan. 28, the woman received the kitten head along with a note that read, 'I love u, your Ben,' she testified at a preliminary hearing Thursday.
Gregory's attorney, Phil Melograne, contends the woman has been harassing Gregory, and suggested she orchestrated the kitten head incident herself.
A district judge rejected that argument and ordered Gregory back to jail to await trial. The judge reduced an animal cruelty charge to a lesser summary offense because medical evidence showed the kitten was dead before its head was cut off."

LAKE FOREST – Deputies are investigating the explosion of a portable toilet Friday night during a school dance in El Toro High School, Orange County sheriff's deputies reported.
Nobody was hurt during the 8:20 p.m. explosion.
Deputies were called out to the 25000 block of Toledo Way and discovered that a homemade explosive device had blown up a portable toilet on the school grounds, just across campus from a school dance, deputies said.
A hazardous-materials team was sent to the scene.
It's not clear whether the toilet was used before the explosion.
